Gender Reveal Cake - April 2012

Brian and Kim are having a baby! To reveal if it is a boy or a girl they are having a gender reveal party. They told me the gender and I made the cake blue for a boy or pink for a girl. The party is tonight so I can't say much :)

Newlin Baby Cake - November 2009

Henry works for a company in Utah, and the owners daughter had a baby in October. Henry was talking tho her husband (who also works for the sme company) and asked what they needed for the baby. He said jokingly, that he wanted one of my cakes. Well, last week Henry went to Utah to go hunting so I made them a baby cake. Here is the end result. I think it turned out pretty good. It was my first try on the imprint mat for fondant and I was having a hard time! It took half a dozen tries. The painting was fun though.

Kendall Baby Shower Cake - October 2007

I made a cake for our neighbors baby shower. It was a two tier cake with each tier being a different flavor. It was covered in fondant decorated with baby clothes on a clothes line. I used the people fondant cut out and cut the clothes to fit the baby theme. I used patel colors. The buttons were also made from fondant.

Weber Baby Shower Cake - August 2006

A friend of mine had a baby shower so I made the cake. It was a two tier cake and was covered with fondant. The babies were all made from fondant too, and yes I made them all from scratch. It took a few hours to make them and have them be the same size. But in the end it was wirth it because the cake turned out really cute.

The little babies upclose. you can also see the buttons and the quilt stitching in the fondant.

The cake from the top.

A better view of the sleeping baby on the top of the cake.
